Before & After: A Bold Exterior Repaint in Bend, Oregon

The Color Combination
We went with Virtual Taupe by Sherwin-Williams on the siding and body of the home, paired with Black Magic on all the trim, fascia, and garage doors. It sounds simple, but the execution is everything.
Virtual Taupe is a warm, earthy brown-gray with real depth to it. It reads differently at different times of day and plays beautifully against Central Oregon's natural landscape. Pair it with Black Magic, a true matte black that anchors the roofline and makes every detail pop, and you get a color scheme that feels modern, grounded, and completely confident.
The garage door transformation alone is worth calling out. Going from a standard off-white door to Black Magic is the kind of detail that makes a home look intentional. The result is cohesive, striking, and built to last.
What We Did
Before a drop of paint goes on, we prep. That's always been Wade's philosophy, and it's why our results hold up long after we've packed up the sprayers and moved on.
For this Bend exterior repaint, the process included full pressure washing to clear years of dirt and oxidation, scraping and sanding any failing paint, caulking all the gaps where water could get in, and priming where needed, before applying two coats of hardy paint designed for the harsh Pacific Northwest weather. The goal is never just to make something look good on the day we leave. The goal is for it to look great five years from now.
