When we first pulled up to this Prineville home, the wood siding had taken a beating. Years of Central Oregon sun, wind, and dry heat had stripped away the color and left the boards gray, cracked, and rough to the touch. The deck was in the same shape, faded and splintering.

You could tell this house had good bones. It just needed someone to bring them back out.

We started with prep, and prep is where a job like this is won or lost. That meant scraping, sanding, and cleaning every inch of siding and decking to get down past the damage and give the new coats something solid to hold onto. Weathered wood like this soaks up product differently than fresh wood, so we took our time here instead of rushing to the fun part.

Once the surface was ready, we moved into priming and painting. They chose a rich green for the siding that gives the house real presence against the Central Oregon landscape, paired with trim that ties the whole look together. The deck got the same care, stripped back and refinished so it is protected against next year's sun instead of fighting a losing battle with it.
