The 2026 exterior paint colors we are seeing on Central Oregon homes (and why your favorite color still wins).
You probably ask us about color trends almost every time we meet. Our honest answer is always the same. The best color for your home is the one you love. If you love white, paint it white. If you love gray, paint it gray. If you have always wanted a deep green house, we will paint you a deep green house.
We have painted Central Oregon homes in every color you can think of. They all look beautiful when you choose the color with intention and we do the prep right.
So take this list for what it is. A snapshot of what is trending, for your curiosity. Not a list of what you should pick.
Rodda-Miller’s Color of the Year: Day Spa 0634
Rodda-Miller is our paint supplier and a Pacific Northwest company, so their pick carries some extra weight for us. For 2026 they chose Day Spa 0634, a deep blue softened with a hint of aqua. They picked it specifically for Pacific Northwest light, which matters a lot out here. It works beautifully as your front door, your shutters, or even your whole-home body color if the style fits.
Sherwin Williams’ Color of the Year: Universal Khaki SW 6150
The national headline color for 2026. It is a midtone warm neutral. Not quite green, not quite tan, somewhere in the middle. It pairs effortlessly with wood, stone, and the high desert landscape right outside your window.
Warm charcoals are the new neutral
Iron Ore, Tricorn Black, and Urbane Bronze have been showing up on Central Oregon exteriors for years now. In 2026 they are not breaking out. They are settling in as the established warm-dark neutral you reach for when you want presence on your home without going trendy.
Benjamin Moore named Silhouette its 2026 Color of the Year, which sits in this same warm near-black family.
We painted a Powell Butte barndominium in Iron Ore earlier this year. Here is that whole project.
Nature greens are the breakout trend
Sage. Olive. Forest. Pewter Green. Rosemary. Muted, grounded greens are everywhere in 2026 forecasts. They pair effortlessly with stone and wood, and they connect your home to the juniper and sage already on your property.
Warm earth tones
Terracotta, clay, greige, mushroom, warm taupe. The desert-inspired side of the 2026 palette. Soft warmth with a grounded, lived-in feel.
Creamy whites are popular too
Alabaster. Greek Villa. Origami White. If you love a white exterior, you are in great company. The warmer cream whites are having a moment in 2026, and they pair beautifully with just about every other trending color.
If you have a stark, cooler white you love, that still works too. White houses have looked beautiful in every era and they always will.
Bronze and black accents on trim and windows
The one accent move that stays constant across every 2026 palette. Bronze or black on window frames, fascia, gutters, and rooflines. It is the contrast trick that ties any color palette together.
Our honest take
We have painted Central Oregon homes in just about every color you could pick. The ones we love the most are not the trendiest ones. They are the ones our customers still love five and ten years later. So if you have been waiting for permission to repaint your home the color you have always wanted, here it is. Pick the color you love. We will help make it look beautiful.
